Cv/bio

I am a self-taught artist who is a civil engineer by day and an abstract artist by night. I have been always fascinated and inspired by abstract artists such as Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko and Wassily Kandinsky.

I was born and grew up in Berlin, Germany when the city was divided by the wall. While studying engineering at the University of Applied Science in Berlin, I became fascinated with the passion expressed in abstract art. I graduated college in 1994 and received a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering. In 1996 I decided to go back to college and in 1999 I received a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Applied Science in Berlin, Germany.

I moved to Orlando, Florida six years ago and I started painting intensively about two years ago. I have been working for the past six years as a project manager at an engineering company.

During the summer of 2007 I attended a three month abstract painting workshop at "Creadle School of Art" in Winter Park, Florida. Since spring 2008 I am attending the Abstract Painting Class at the "Maitland Art Center" in Maitland, Florida with Kaye Callaway.
